LAKEWOOD, NJ (April 25, 2025) - In their final game of the regular season, Georgian Court put up a new season-high in goals scoring 22 in a 22-13 win over Holy Family. The win wraps up the regular season for the Lions at 10-6 and 7-1 in the CACC.
How it Happened
• Georgian Court dominated on faceoffs. They won 31-37.
• Even with all the extra possessions, GCU only took three more shots than HFU. They were far more accurate though hitting the net on 36 shots. HFU put 27 shots on goal.
• The Lions turned the ball over a lot, losing it 26 time and forcing just 19.
• On the ground, Georgian Court picked up 53 ground balls, helped out by the 31 faceoff wins. Holy Family grabbed 31 off the ground.
• GCU was good on 22-24 clear attempts. Holy Family 23-30.
• The Lions took just two penalties and killed them off. They were 2-4 on extra-man opportunities, nearly 3-4, but scored one second after the teams went back to even strength.
1st Quarter
• It wasn't Georgian Court who scored the first three goals, it was all
Brett Bridges.
• In a 35-goal game, the first quarter saw just four.
• GCU's defense did an excellent job and Holy Family scored their first with 1:54 remaining.
2nd Quarter
• Holy Family made it a one-goal game scoring in the first 30 seconds of the second quarter.
• That was all they got for the frame though. They scored twice in the first half, 2:23 apart.
• The dam broke loose for Georgian Court after that. Bridges scored his fourth and
Matt Dorrian became the first player other than Bridges to hit the back of the net.
• Dorrian and Bridges both scored again in the second while
Millan Webster tallied one and
Joe Zerr connected for a man-up goal as the Lions led 9-2 at the half.
3rd Quarter
• Goals started coming fast and furious in the second half.
• After being outscored 9-2 in the first, Holy Family hung with GCU and scored 11 times while the Lions added 13 more.
• Holy Family and specifically Bradley Smith started the scoring. He won two faceoffs and ran down the middle of the field to score himself, seven seconds apart.
• GCU gathered themselves and scored the next five. Zerr hit another power play goal, Bridges scored his sixth, Webster scored twice and Stephen Albanses matched his faceoff counterpart with a goal of his own.
• There were seven goals in the first five minutes of the half and 12 in the first 10.
• HFU got one goal back, but GCU scored three more, twice from
Brodie Seaborn and another coming from Webster.
• Bridges finished the quarter scoring his seventh of the game as GCU led 18-7 after three.
4th Quarter
• The fourth quarter saw Holy Family outscore the Lions 6-4, but never threatened the Lions lead at any point.
• HFU scored five-of-six at one point to get to within 20-13.

Vincent Burns and
Tyler Michalski finished the game with goals.
Tyler Burns and
Harrison Jordan also scored in the fourth.
Lion Stat Leaders
•
Vincent Burkhart made 12 saves in the first three quarters in goal for the win.
•
Brett Bridges totaled 10 points with seven goals.
•
Matt Dorrian passed out four assists and scored twice. He added five grounders as well.
•
Millan Webster scored four times.
•
Brodie Seaborn had two goals and two assists.
•
Stephen Albanese was 10-10 on faceoffs while
Daniel Devitt was 9-11. They each picked up seven ground ball.

Max Dennington caused a turnover and collected four ground balls.Â

Michael Schone and
Christian Smith both caused two turnovers.Â
For the Tigers
• James Demakopoulos came up with 13 saves in 45 minutes.
• Noah Simpson scored four goals.Â
• Bradley Smith won five faceoffs and scored three goals. He also caused six turnovers and picked up seven ground balls.Â
• Jame Bienia scored twice with an assist.Â

Brett Bridges matched a career-best with seven goals which also matches the most by the Lion ever in a game.
• The Lions 22 goals were their most this season. Their previous season high was 17.Â
• The 13 goals allowed are the most allowed in a win this season as well.
• The 35 combined goals match the most ever in a GCU. They also scored 35 in a 28-7 win in last season's regular season finale vs. Felician.
•
Matt Dorrian played in his 30th game, scored his 60th point and picked up his 30th ground ball.Â

Vincent Burkhart won his 30th career game.
•
Thomas Fleming played in career game number 40.
