How to Watch
• Tuesday's game is available to watch on a free-to-view broadcast on the CACC Digital Network. Live stats are also available with a link on the Lions schedule page.Â
Previously vs. Queens
• These two teams met last year in Queens.
• It was a frustrating night for the Lions who were swept 3-0 (14-25, 22-25, 19-25)
• That loss snapped a four-game Lion winning streak. GCU is now 9-8 all-time against the Knights.
Last Time Out
• Georgian Court started the 2025 season just like they started 2024.
• While that isn't necessarily a good thing, as they lost each of their first three matches 3-0, it does show a precedent for a successful season in the end.
• At the West Chester Tournament, the Lions fell to some out of region opponents, Charleston, West Chester and Millersville.
•
Iciar Zayas surpassed 2,000 career assists over the weekend, the fifth Lion in the NCAA era to reach that number.Â
Individual Milestones
•Â
Emma Gildea needs 16 points for 200 in her career.Â
• One more service ace will bring
Iciar Zayas to 60.
CACC Stat Leaders
•
Iciar Zayas is fourth in the league averaging 7.33 assists per set.Â
•
Carmen Rivera's 3.89 digs per set rank fifth.
• As a team, Georgian Court is fifth in the CACC with 2.33 aces per set.
• The Lions are also sixth in assists and kills.
Home Sweet Home
• Last season at home, Georgian Court was 14-2 on their home court.
• The Lions have been outstanding at home playing under Coach Rayside. In her two seasons, the Lions are 23-5 playing in Lakewood.
• They're also 2-0 in home openers.Â
About Queens
• Queens Volleyball opened the season at home last week with a four-game tournament.
• The Knights pulled out two five-set wins over Assumption and CACC rival, Wilmington.
• They opened the season against CACC runners-up Post and fell 3-1.
• A year ago, Queens finished 19-13 with a 9-3 conference record before falling in the ECC semifinals.Â
• Queens lost a lot of fire power from the 2024 team, but their leading point-scorer, Kendall Conrad, is back in the fold along with Lindsay Osterhoudt who was the Knights leading blocker a season ago.
• Konrad is again leading the team in points, averaging 3.24 through four games.
• The Knights are surrendering more than 2.6 aces per game.
