LAKEWOOD, NJ (Jan. 28, 2026) - Georgian Court Women's Basketball struggled on the offensive end against Holy Family and fell 70-46.
How it Happened
• The Tigers shot 44.1% overall compared to the Lions 31%.
• The Lions shot 4-18 from distance.
• The Tigers out-rebounded the Lions 43-32.
• Georgian Court turned the ball over 16 times compared to the Tigers 11.
1st Half
• An even start for both teams, the first few minutes of the quarter were a back-and-forth game.
• Both teams went scoreless for four minutes in the first quarter, until HFU
Lola Ibarrondo had a free throw.
• Holy Family would score the rest of their points off of free throws in the 1st, and would lead 16-7 going into the second.

Amyah Bray would open up scoring for the Lions with a layup to begin the second.
• HFU was shooting 56.3% in the second compared to the Lions 33.3%.

Karissa Smedley put down a layup in the last second of the first half, which cut the lead down to 15.
2nd Half
• The 15-point deficit would remain 15 for the majority of the quarter.
• The last three minutes of the third would extend HFU's lead due to the Lions being unable to put the ball in the net.

Niyell McCargo would have the only two points of the last four minutes for the Lions, HFU led 52-32.
• It looked like there was a spark for the Lions opening the fourth when they went on an 8-2 run.

Taylor Hinkle took over for HFU and had seven straight points to maintain Holy Family's lead.
• The Tigers continued to extend their lead and defeated GCU 70-46.
