LAKEWOOD, NJ (Jan. 30, 2026) - Coming off of their biggest win of the season thus far, Georgian Court Men's Basketball hopes to keep that momentum rolling as they hit the road looking for a season sweep of Caldwell.

Opponent
Caldwell Cougars (7-12, 5-7 CACC)

Where
Caldwell, NJ - George R. Newman Center

When
Saturday, January 31 - 3 pm

How to Watch
• Saturday's game is available on a free-to-view broadcast on the Caldwell portal of the CACC Digital Network. Live stats can be found on the Georgian Court schedule page.

Previously vs. Caldwell
• Georgian Court is just 4-9 all-time against Caldwell but one of those wins came back in December.
• That win snapped a four-game Caldwell winning streak against GCU.
• The Lions used a second half rally to fuel an 11-point comeback.
• GCU was down 11 with 15 minutes left to play before coming back to steal the win.
• The Lions were down one with 1:02 left to play. Cam Edmonds gave them the lead with two points at the foul line.
• Then it was the defense that forced a missed shot and didn't allow Caldwell a last second shot attempt in a 79-77 win.
• Edmonds scored a game-high 27 points while Taheen Braswell Brown was 4-8 from three for 16 points.

Individual Milestones
• Cam Edmonds has moved into second all-time in scoring and is now 31 points away from setting a new GCU scoring record.
• Taheen Braswell-Brown needs four points to reach 400 and two rebounds for 250.
• Two steals will get Anthony Rivera to 50.

Who's Hot?
• Jacob Santiago had a career night in the Lions win over Holy Family. He played 30 minutes and scored 18 points going 4-4 from three.
• Amar Lane is the reigning CACC Defensive Player of the Week. He has 19 blocked shots in his last six games and is scoring more than nine points per game in his last four.
• Cam Edmonds is still scoring a ton, but has come along on the boards where he's averaging 6.75 rebounds in his last four games.
• Donavin Crawford has three straight double-digit point games for the first time this season.
• Eli Nix has been giving GCU good minutes off the bench. He scored four points with five rebounds, three assists and two steals against Holy Family in just 11 minutes.

Double Dipping
• Cam Edmonds has scored at least 10 points in 43 straight games.
• That broke Caleb Bowser's record from January, 2019-February, 2020 of 31 straight games.

Block Party
• The Lions individual single-season record for blocked shots has already been broken this season.
• Amar Lane swatted his 32nd block, needing just 14 games to set a new single-season record. He's now at 44 and counting.
• Lane also matched the Lions single-game record blocking seven shots against Wilmington.
• As a team, Georgian Court is just two blocks away from 100. It would be the first time in program history the team blocked 100 or more shots in a season.

CACC Leaders
• Georgian Court is up near the top of the league in a couple of defensive categories.
• Their 5.3 blocks per game are tops in the CACC and eighth in Division II.
• Georgian Court is also third in the CACC in field goal percentage defense as teams are shooting 43.1% from the floor.
• Led by Cam Edmonds, GCU's 19.3 free throws made per game are leading the CACC and are ninth in the country. They also are fourth in the CACC hitting 72.2% at the line.
• On the glass, the Lions have moved up to fourth in the CACC with 36.9 rebounds per game.
• Amar Lane leads the league with 44 blocks and 2.44 per game. He's 10th nationally in total blocks.
• Tesneem Ajeigbe is also in the top-10 in the CACC in total blocks and blocks per game.
• Cam Edmonds leads the CACC scoring 21.3 points per game which ranks 18th nationally. He's also got the most free throws made and attempted in Division II.
• Anthony Rivera is fourth in rebounds per game with 7.0.
• Jaycen Santucci is 11th in total rebounds and fifth in defensive rebounds per game.

The New CACC
• This season, the CACC will have a new look to it. The league currently stands at 11 teams with Bloomfield having departed after the 2024-25 academic year.
• The league has also done away with the North and South Divisions in favor of a single set of standings with all 11 teams.
• Additionally, there's been changes to the league schedule. Teams will now play all CACC opponents twice, once at home and once on the road.
• Georgian Court is finished with their nonconference slate. From here on out, they'll be playing only CACC games.
• The Lions have completed their first half of the CACC schedule, going 3-7. Everyone plays each opponent once before seeing a team for a second time.

About Caldwell
• Georgian Court handed Caldwell their eighth straight loss to start the season back in December, but the Cougars have seemingly righted the ship since then.
• Caldwell has won seven of their last 11 and are now 5-7 in conference play and 5-4 playing at home.
• One of those wins came Wednesday day as they put an end to Felician's perfect CACC record with a buzzer beater from Todd Rochelle for a 68-66 win.
• Part of the reason for the turnaround can be tied to the return of DeAngelo Horn. He came back shortly after the Cougars visited Lakewood.
• The former All-CACC performer is scoring 15.2 points in nine games and shooting 57% from the floor.
• Melvin Evans has been the Cougars offensive leader. He's scoring 17.1 points per game and shooting 46% overall.
• Todd Rochelle and Isaiah Philbert are also in double-figure scoring. Philbert is shooting 36.6% from behind the arc.
• On the defensive end, teams are shooting 44.9% against Caldwell and 33.9% from three. Both of those percentages are better than when they visited Lakewood and middle of the pack in the CACC.
• Caldwell has done a good job of not beating themselves. They're among the CACC leads in fewest fouls and fewest turnovers.
