Georgian Court Wraps Up Week at Home vs. Chargers

LAKEWOOD, NJ (Jan. 9, 2026) - Georgian Court Men's Basketball looks to get back in the win column as they host Dominican this weekend.

Previously vs. Dominican
• Competing against their former CACC North Division foes, Georgian Court is 0-13 all-time against Dominican.
• The closest the Lions came to taking down the Chargers was a 70-68 overtime loss in the 2022-23 season.
• Last year, also in the Lakewood, Dominican shot 57% overall in an 88-62 win. 
• The Lions got down 18-0 in the first five minutes of the game and the Chargers led end-to-end.

Individual Milestones
• Donavin Crawford needs one three-pointer to hit 100 and would be the fifth Lion to do so. 
• Amar Lane is already just three blocks away from setting the Lions single-season record for blocked shots. He has 29 with the record standing at 31. 
Jaycen Santucci is nine rebounds away from 100 and Anthony Rivera is nine away from 200. 

Who's Hot?
• Cam Edmonds has scored 20+ points in four of his last five games, averaging 23.2 points per game in that span. 
• Jaycen Santucci has reached double-digit points in five straight games while also averaging 8.2 rebounds. 
• Kam Waters is averaging eight points per game in his last two and is 4-10 from three. 

Double Dipping
• Cam Edmonds has scored at least 10 points in 38 straight games.
• That broke Caleb Bowser's record from January, 2019-February, 2020 of 31 straight games. 

Block Party
• Both the individual and team single-season blocking records are close to being broken.
Amar Lane needs just three blocks to set the Lions single-season record which currently stands at 31.
• As a team, Georgian Court has 72 blocks this season and is closing in on the team record of 91 set in 2014-15. 

CACC Leaders
• Georgian Court is up near the top of the league in a couple of defensive categories.
• Their 5.1 blocks per game are tops in the CACC and ninth in Division II. 
• Georgian Court is also fourth in the CACC in field goal percentage defense as teams are shooting 42.8% from the floor.
• Led by Cam Edmonds, GCU's 20.2 free throws made per game are first in the CACC and ninth in the country. They also are third in the CACC hitting 74.3% at the line. 
• In transition, GCU is scoring 14.5 fastbreak points per game, second in the CACC.
• On the glass, the Lions 26 defensive rebounds per game are second in the league. 
• Amar Lane leads the league with 29 blocks and 2.23 per game. Tesneem Ajeigbe is fifth with 18 and 1.50. 
• Cam Edmonds leads the CACC scoring 22.4 points per game which ranks seventh nationally. He's also got the most free throws made and attempted in Division II. 
• Anthony Rivera and Jaycen Santucci rank eighth and ninth in total rebounds. 

The New CACC
• This season, the CACC will have a new look to it. The league currently stands at 11 teams with Bloomfield having departed after the 2024-25 academic year.
• The league has also done away with the North and South Divisions in favor of a single set of standings with all 11 teams. 
• Additionally, there's been changes to the league schedule. Teams will now play all CACC opponents twice, once at home and once on the road.  
• Georgian Court is finished with their nonconference slate. From here on out, they'll be playing only CACC games. 

About Dominican
• Dominican comes to Lakewood having dropped five straight and seven of the last eight.
• They're 6-7 overall on the year and 3-3 in the CACC.
• The Chargers have the top scoring offense in the CACC, scoring 83 points per game.
• They are also at the bottom of the league in scoring defense as opponents are averaging 84.4 points per game.
• One area the Chargers are successful in is turnovers. They're leading the CACC with a +4.2 turnover margin and their 12.5 turnovers per game are second-fewest. 
• Four Chargers are averaging double-figure points per game, led by Elijah Peters at 13.9. He's shooting 57% overall, doing most of his work on the inside.
• One Charger the Lions are not excited to welcome back is Javel Cherry. He was 6-9 from three against the Lions in the 2023-24 season, before leaving Dominican for 24-25. He's returned and is shooting 45% from three in conference games.
