Lions Roll to Sweep of SNHU

MANCHESTER, NH (Oct. 12, 2026) - Georgian Court Volleyball concluded the holiday weekend in emphatic fashion with a clean sweep of Southern New Hampshire. The Lions had everything working and took advantage of Penmen mistakes in their three-set win, 25-19, 25-22, 25-18.

How it Happened
• Georgian Court hit a season-best .322 for the match and hit better than .400 in two of the three sets. They landed 41 kills to just 12 attack errors.
• The Penmen hit .151 with 33 kills and 17 attack errors.
• SNHU routinely sells out for service aces. They landed five of them, but also hit 10 service errors. Georgian Court had their share of serve errors as well with eight to four aces.
• On defense, the Lions put back five blocks to the Penmen's two. There weren't many digs, especially in set one. GCU finished the match with 43 and SNHU, 32.

• The first point of the game was a Penmen service error to give the Lions a 1-0 lead and set the stage for what was to come throughout the match.
• Georgian Court never trailed in the opening set, on their way to a 25-19 win.
• SNHU errors were aplenty early on. Midway through the set, the Lions led 12-7. They had scored 12 points despite taking just five attack attempts.
• The kills started falling for GCU and the lead stayed around that five-point mark.

• The Lions hit .611 with 12 kills and one error on just 18 attempts.

• SNHU took their first lead of the match and held a small 4-2 lead at the outset.
• Georgian Court scored three straight to take a 5-4 lead without scoring a point of their own as the Penmen hit one service and two attack errors.
• The set remained close throughout and was still tied as late as 17-17.
• SNHU broke the tie scoring two straight for a 19-17 lead, but the Lions responded with a 4-0 run.
• Clinging to a small lead, GCU held on the rest of the set and Ana Nikolic ended it with a kill.
Set 3

• Midway through the set, SNHU scored three straight to get to within one, 13-12.
