Volleyball Welcomes In Post for Homecoming Saturday

LAKEWOOD, NJ (Oct. 2, 2026) - Georgian Court Volleyball finished up a three-game road trip and are eager to return home this weekend. It's the start of another two games in three days with a Monday nonconference game capping off a busy seven days for GCU.

How to Watch
• Both games are available to watch on a free-to-view broadcast. Saturday's will be on Georgian Court's portal of the CACC Digital Network while the PSAC Digital Network hosts the Lions at Millersville. 
• Live stats are also available on the Lions schedule page. 

Previously vs. Post
• Georgian Court leads the all-time series 19-14.
• Both at home and on the road, the Lions at 9-6 against the Eagles.
• Post came away with a 3-0 sweep last year in Waterbury.
• Georgian Court hit just .034 while Post was up at .263.
• Ava Churnesky led GCU with 13 kills.
• This is a rematch of the 2024 CACC Tournament Championship which the Lions swept in three games in Lakewood. 

Previously vs. Millersville
• This has been a rekindled rivalry the last five years.
• All-time GCU is just 1-5 against Millersville.
• This will be the fourth time these teams have met in the last five years. Georgian Court's only win was a 3-2 reverse sweep in 2024.
• Last year at a neutral site, GCU was swept 3-0 by the Marauders early in the season. Millersville hit .310.
• Ava Churnesky's 12 kills led the Lions. 

Last Time Out
• Georgian Court finished up a three-game roadtrip with a 3-0 loss at Wilmington.
• The Lions outhit the Wildcats for the match, but couldn't get past WU in a tight match.
• The service line is where Wilmington hurt the Lions. The hit 12 more aces and five fewer errors.

CACC Stat Leaders
• Georgian Court is second in the league with 922 digs and their 14.2 digs per set rank fourth.
• Carmen Rivera Colon's 267 digs are the most in the conference while her 4.11 digs per set rank fifth.
• Rivera Colon is also in the top-20 among active Division II players in total digs.
• Flavia Pecora has the second-best hitting percentage in the league at .340. Her 48 blocks are also the third most. 
• Ava Churnesky is in the top-10 in kills and points per set. Keira Mullen is nearing enough sets to qualify per NCAA statistic minimums and will be in the top-10 in those categories soon.
• After playing four games in a full rotation, Roshell Chevres Sanchez is seventh in the league in assists per set and her 314 assists are fifth in the league. 

Who's Hot?
• Keira Mullen has five straight double-digit kill matches and three straight kills-digs double-doubles.
• Since being thrust into the spotlight as the full-rotation setter, Roshell Chevres Sanchez is averaging 9.5 assists per set.
• Flavia Pecora has at least seven kill in four straight matches. She's hit at least .300 in three of those four matches and last match didn't have a single attack error against Wilmington.

Individual Milestones
• Carmen Rivera Colon needs five aces to get to 100.
• Kyla Davis is four blocks away from 100. 
• Roshell Chevres Sanchez is five digs short of 100. 

About Post
• While Saturday's match is a rematch of the 2024 CACC Tournament Championship final, both the Lions and Eagles have struggled in 2026.
• Post is 2-15 overall, but one of those wins is a conference win over Caldwell.
• Since then they've dropped six straight and won only three sets in that span.
• The Eagles are not just at the bottom of the CACC statistically, but towards the bottom of the NCAA as well.
• Post ranks last in assists, blocks, and kills per set. They have are last in hitting percentage and opponent hitting percentage.
• Through 17 games and 58 sets, Post's offense is led by Lilly Chavez with 91 kills.
• The Eagles are surrendering nearly three aces per set while hitting 1.71 themselves. 

About Millersville
• It hasn't been the start to the season Millersville would have wanted at 4-10 and 0-5 in the PSAC.
• However they are a much better team at home playing to a 3-2 record.
• They recently defeated CACC foes Jefferson and also earlier in the year beat Felician and Caldwell as they make their way through a CACC nonconference schedule.
• Alex Nava is the team leader with 2.26 kills per set this season.
• Service numbers have been fairly even for the Marauders. They've hit just three more errors than aces, the same difference as their opponents. 
• Millersville has also held their own at the net averaging more than 1.5 blocks per set, roughly the same as Millersville opponents.
• Hailey Lazur is one to watch in the middle with her 39 total blocks.
