LAKEWOOD, NJ (Nov. 4, 2026) - Georgian Court Women's Soccer made its return to the CACC Championship for the first time in seven years but faced a tough challenge against a Jefferson team that went undefeated in conference play. The Rams scored four goals in the first half and added another in the second to defeat the Lions 5-0.
How it Happened
• Georgian Court appeared to have found its first goal of the game when
Chelsea Lavezzo found the back of the net, but the goal was disallowed following an offside call.
• Jefferson wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, finding the back of the net just 17 minutes into regulation to take an early 1-0 lead.
• Jefferson carried that momentum forward, doubling its lead just 50 seconds later as Evelin Ventura-Garcia scored her second goal in less than a minute to put the Rams ahead 2-0.
• The Rams continued to build on their lead, finding the back of the net once again just 10 minutes later to make it 3-0.
• The Lions looked to tighten up defensively, but with just three minutes remaining in the first half, a foul inside the penalty box awarded Jefferson a penalty kick, which the Rams converted to extend their lead to 4-0.
• The Lions struggled to generate offensive opportunities in the first half, failing to record a shot as they entered halftime trailing 4-0.
• The second half was a back-and-forth struggle with neither team finding the net for the majority of the half.
• Jefferson added its fifth goal in the 83rd minute to seal a 5-0 victory and claim the CACC Championship title.
