WILMINGTON, DE (Feb. 12, 2026) - Georgian Court Women's Basketball had a strong fourth quarter to defeat Goldey-Beacom 73-52 on the road.
How it Happened
• After battling through a competitive first three periods, the Lions outscored Goldey-Beacom 23–6 in the final quarter.
• GCU shot 50% compared to Goldey-Beacom's 35%.
• The Lions were 25% from the three; the Lightning shot 8.3%.
• GCU outrebounded GBC 41-31.
First Quarter
• The Lions opened the scoring in Delaware with a jumper from
Niyell McCargo.

Karissa Smedley connected on back-to-back threes to ignite the offense.

Imani Gillette came in off the bench with six points.
• Lions led by three going into the second.
Second Quarter
• Goldey-Beacom's
Gaia Zimbardo layup opened up the scoring in the second.
• GBC struggled to score for the next five minutes, but the Lions went on a 10-0 run.
• The Lightning figured it out and quickly closed that gap.
• Both teams had a 16 point quarter, and the Lions led by three going into the half.

• Just two minutes into the half GBC tied the game.
