Men's Basketball to Host Bridgeport on Hall of Fame Saturday

LAKEWOOD, NJ (Feb. 6, 2026) - Georgian Court Men's Basketball steps back onto their home court Saturday afternoon.

• All season-long at Georigan Court home games, GCU Athletics will be running a 50/50 raffle at all indoor home games and select outdoor games. Stop by the admissions table to enter the raffle.

Previously vs. Bridgeport
• This is Bridgeport's fourth year in the CACC and its the fifth game between these two teams.
• Georgian Court won the very first at home in 2022-23, but have since dropped three straight.
• This is the Lions first game at home against Bridgeport since the 2022-23 season. 
• Back in December, Bridgeport picked up a 96-83 win over the Lions at home.
• Georgian Court had a small, 42-41 lead at the half but couldn't hold on as Bridgeport scored 55 second-half points shooting 55%.
• Three Lions were in double-figures as Cam Edmonds scored 27 and Anthony Rivera 25. Jaycen Santucci added 14. 

Individual Milestones
• Justin Soranno needs 10 rebounds to get to 200. 
• Three assists will get Jacob Santiago to 50.
• Amar Lane needs five blocks for 50 this season. 
• Three field goals will get Cam Edmonds to 400 in his career, the fourth Lion to score 400 field goals. 
• Taheen Braswell-Brown needs four points to reach 400 and two rebounds for 250.

Who's Hot?
• Cam Edmonds has at least three three-pointers in two of his last three games. 
• Jacob Santiago has at least one three-pointer made in three straight games. 
• Thomas Menegus was 2-2 with a rebound and four points at Jefferson. 
• Justin Soranno returned after missing a game to score seven points in 12 minutes with five rebounds.

Double Dipping
• Cam Edmonds has scored at least 10 points in 45 straight games.
• That broke Caleb Bowser's record from January, 2019-February, 2020 of 31 straight games. 

Block Party
• The Lions individual single-season record for blocked shots has already been broken this season.
• Amar Lane swatted his 32nd block, needing just 14 games to set a new single-season record. He's now at 45 and counting.
• Lane also matched the Lions single-game record blocking seven shots against Wilmington. 
• As a team, Georgian Court has recorded 101 blocks this season. It's their first season with 100 or more blocks. 
• In addition to Lane, Tesneem Ajeigbe is at 21 blocks. 

CACC Leaders
• Georgian Court is up near the top of the league in a couple of defensive categories.
• Their 4.8 blocks per game are tops in the CACC and 12th in Division II. 
• Georgian Court is also fifth in the CACC in field goal percentage defense as teams are shooting 44% from the floor.
• Led by Cam Edmonds, GCU's 19.3 free throws made per game are leading the CACC and are 10th in the country. They also are fifth in the CACC hitting 71.1% at the line. 
• On the glass, the Lions have moved to fifth in the CACC with 36.67 rebounds per game. 
• Amar Lane leads the league with 45 blocks and 2.25 per game. He's 15th nationally in both categories.
• Tesneem Ajeigbe is also in the top-10 in the CACC in total blocks and blocks per game. 
• Cam Edmonds leads the CACC scoring 20.8 points per game which ranks 20th nationally. He's also got the most free throws made and attempted in Division II. 
• Jaycen Santucci is fifth in defensive rebounds per game. 

The New CACC
• This season, the CACC will have a new look to it. The league currently stands at 11 teams with Bloomfield having departed after the 2024-25 academic year.
• The league has also done away with the North and South Divisions in favor of a single set of standings with all 11 teams. 
• Additionally, there's been changes to the league schedule. Teams will now play all CACC opponents twice, once at home and once on the road.  
• Georgian Court is finished with their nonconference slate. From here on out, they'll be playing only CACC games. 
• The Lions have completed their first half of the CACC schedule, going 3-7. Everyone plays each opponent once before seeing a team for a second time. 

About Bridgeport
• Bridgeport has struggled lately dropping six of their last seven to fall to 9-11 overall, 6-7 in the CACC.
• The Purple Knights are the best rebounding teams in the country. They come down with an NCAA-best 43.6 rebounds per game and are a +5.6 on the glass. 
• They're also outstanding on the offensive boards with 16.05 offensive rebounds per game, third most in the country. 
• All those offensive rebounds come at a price though, which is missed shots. They're shooting 42.9% overall which is next to last in the league.
• UB's offense is scoring 78.1 points per game. They have two averaging double-figures led by Zay Sullivan's 17.6 points per game.
• Sullivan is also the among the league-leaders from behind the arc. He's hit 47 this season and is shooting 34.6% from distance. 
• The Purple Knights have struggled at the foul line where they're shooting just 66.4% for the season. That is despite Sullivan shooting 80.8%, third-best in the CACC. 
• Bridgeport is having problems holding onto the ball. They turn it over 14.4 times per game and their -1.1 turnover margin is 10th in the league.
