LAKEWOOD, NJ (March 20, 2026) - Georgian Court Men's Lacrosse finally had the offensive outburst they had been looking for. Five different Lions scored at least three goals as GCU defeated Dominican by 10, 17-7. The win gives GCU their second straight CACC win, and moves them to 2-2 in the league.
How it Happened
• It seemed like the Lions were on offense all afternoon. Part of the reason for that was them winning 21-27 faceoffs.Â
• With the extra offensive time, GCU took 52 shots while the Chargers totaled just 28. The Lions also more than doubled up Dominican in shots on goal, 34-16.
• Dominican turned the ball over 17 times, three more than GCU. Most of Georgian Court's turnovers were self-inflicted wounds, as Dominican caused just one.Â
• Bot teams were booked for three penalties. The Lions were 2-3 man-up while the Chargers went 1-3 on the power play.
1st Quarter
• The opening quarter was all Lions.
Harrison Jordan got the scoring started 2:06 into the game for an early 1-0 lead.
• Dominican tied the game just past the 10-minute mark.Â
• GCU's offense took over after that, finishing the frame scoring four straight from four different Lions.
•
Brodie Seaborn broke the tie and
Zach Myers made it a 3-1 game.
• On the man-advantage,
Vincent Burns cashed in his first goal.
•
Drew Barocas finished the period scoring to make it 5-1 Lions after one.
2nd Quarter
• Seaborn took a feed from
Sebastien Castillo to start the second and made it 6-1.
• The offense sputtered a bit though and Dominican wasn't going away.
• They scored three straight and made it a two-goal game, 6-4.
• Just 35 seconds later, Burns broke the Chargers three-goal run with his second of the game.
• In the final minute, Dominican turned the ball over and GCU called a timeout in the offensive zone with just seven seconds left.
• That was just enough as Barocas hit Burns who's diving shot got off at the buzzer to put the Lions up 8-4 at the break.
3rd Quarter
• Defense was the name of the game in the third. The Lions held the Chargers scoreless while padding their lead.
• Just 59 seconds in, Seaborn scored another as Jordan played distributor.
• Jordan dished out another, this time to Barocas, to get the Lions to 10 goals.
•
Zach Myers added another before the quarter ended and the route was on.
4th Quarter
•
Tyler Burns got in on the scoring to open the fourth.
• Myers and Jordan followed with goals to give GCU their first 10-goal lead, 14-4.
• The two teams traded goals the rest of the way, including each scoring on the power play, to get to the 17-7 final score.
