SPARKILL, NY (March 25, 2026) - It took a little while, but Georgian Court's offense was clicking Wednesday afternoon. The Lions scored a season-high 20 goals in their 20-10 win over St. Thomas Aquinas, picking up their second straight win and third in their last four games.
How it Happened
• The Spartans may have won the faceoff battle, 19-15, but it was Georgian Court who spent more time on offense.
• The Lions totaled 56 shots, putting 32 on target while the Spartans mustered 30 shots and 17 on goal.
• Georgian Court took advantage of five STAC penalties, scoring four man-up goals. The Lions also stayed out of the box, killing off their lone penalty.
• GCU's defense forced 23 Spartan turnovers. That includes STAC failing to clear the timeline on 6-of-17 attempts.
1st Quarter
• Things started well for the Lions as
Tyler Burns scored less than two minutes into the game.
• The lead didn't last though and St. Thomas Aquinas rattled off three straight goals.
• GCU got a man-up goal from
Zach Myers, but the Spartans again went up by two.
• There were three goals scored in the final minute of play. After STAC took a 4-2 lead,
Drew Barocas scored with 28 seconds to play.
• The Spartans won the ensuing faceoff and marched down the field, scoring with just four seconds left in the period to lead 5-3 after one.
2nd Quarter
• The game turned in the second quarter.
• GCU outscored the Spartans 6-1 to take a lead they'd never give up.
• Less than a minute into the period,
Tyler Burns scored his second of the game to get to within one.

Harrison Jordan tied the game at the 12:49 mark, but the game was only tied for 35 seconds before STAC put up their lone tally of the second.
• Trailing once again, Jordan tied the game at six apiece.
• The Lions finished the half on a 4-0 run.
Brodie Seaborn gave GCU their first lead since 1-0.

Vincent Burns and another goal from Jordan put the Lions up 9-6 at the half.
3rd Quarter
• The Spartans still hung around early in the third.
• Jordan scored again for a four-goal lead, 10-6.
• STAC went on a mini-run following that Jordan goal. They used a 4-2 run to get back to within two, 12-10, with just over five minutes left in the third.
• That was the last time they scored in the game though.
• Jordan and Seaborn closed out the quarter with a goal each and GCU led 14-10.
4th Quarter
• Georgian Court's offense never stopped. That included playing down a man.
• Not only did GCU kill off their only penalty, Seaborn scored a man-down goal after
Vincent Burkhart made a save to regain possession.
• He scored another special teams goal, this time man-up and Jordan followed with another power play goal.
• Myers and
Sebastien Castillo finished the game with a goal each to get the Lions to 20 on the night.
Lion Stat Leaders

Harrison Jordan totaled eight points with seven goals and an assist. He also picked up five ground balls.
•
Brodie Seaborn found the back of the net four times.
•
Vincent Burns filled the stat sheet with two goals, five ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Tyler Burns and
Zach Myers each scored twice.
• Jakhari Christian was 10-22 on faceoffs while
Daniel Devitt won 5-11.

Drew Barocas picked up a team-best six ground balls and passed out three assists.Â

Vincent Burkhart got the win making seven saves.
For the Spartans
• Cam Wallace scored twice and picked up three ground balls.
• Vinny Rosario was 16-24 on faceoffs with eight ground balls.
• Five Spartans scored two points. Wilson Ingalls and Lou Takacs also netted two goals.

• The Lions 20 goals are a season-high.
• GCU has set a season-best in goals in each of their last two games and scored 27 over that span.
• Georgian Court also picked up season-bests with 56 shots and 53 ground balls.
