Philadelphia, PA (March 29th, 2026) - Two meets in one week did not stop the Georgian Court Lions from breaking a new season high. The Lions scored a 215.295 overall which is just 0.85 points away from their program record.
The Lions put together their best meet of the season but came up short against La Salle on the road. The Lions competed earlier in the week and scored 30 points higher today.
Georgian Court got off to a great start. They scored 28.50 points in compulsory, their highest ever. They started off by scoring a 6.50 in the acro, 9.15 in the pyramid, 9.00 in toss, and 3.85 in tumbling. La Salle scored a 8.80 in acro, 9.35 in pyramid, 9.30 in toss, and 8.25 in tumbling. Their total for the compulsory event was 35.70.
Moving into acro, Georgian Court got started with an 8.20 in the five-element and a 7.55 in the six-element. They finished strong scoring 8.80 in the seven-element, their second highest ever, for an event total of 24.55 which is their new program record. La Salle totaled 27.40 in the event, scoring at least 8.35 in all three heats.
The final event before half was the pyramid, where Georgian Court continued to shine. It started with an 8.95 in the inversion. They followed that with a 9.30 in the synchronized and a 9.00 in the open. That gave them an event total of 27.25. La Salle was close with a 28.05.
GCU started the second half strong. Starting with the 450 Salto Toss, Georgian Court scored an 8.10. They scored a 7.40 in the synchronized and a 8.20 in the open. La Salle scored a 8.70 in 450 Salto, 8.00 in synchronized and 9.35 in the open, for a total of 24.95.
Georgian Court scored a 39.675 in the tumbling portion. They scored a 6.20 in the duo pass, 6.80 in trio, 4.600 in the quad, and a 6.400 in aerial. The 6 element pass scored a 7.825 and the open scored a 7.850 which ties for third of all time. La Salle scored a 53.075 in the tumbling portion.
Georgian Court scored a 71.62, which is the third of all time. La Salle scored an 85.58 in the team event.
The Georgian Court Acrobatics and Tumbling have their last meet on April 8th at Caldwell.
