POMONA, NY (March 29, 2026) - Georgian Court Baseball had a chance to take the series from Dominican Sunday afternoon. GCU took two early leads, but couldn't keep the high-powered Dominican offense at bay for long in an 11-6 loss to the Chargers.
How it Happened
• Both teams were spraying the ball around the field. Dominican scored 11 runs on 16 while the Lions scatted 13 to score six runs.
• Errors proved to be a problem while the Lions committing three and and allowing two unearned run. GCU scored one unearned on two Dominican errors.
• Of the 29 combined hits, just six were for extra bases, five doubles and a triple.
• Georgian Court hitters struck out nine times and walked three. The Chargers walked five and fanned five.
• For the second time in three games, Georgian Court scored a run in the opening inning.
JR Osmond's two-out RBI single scored

• Dominican tied the game in the bottom of the second, taking advantage of a GCU throwing error to score a run.
• Georgian Court loaded the bases with one out in the fourth. They grabbed the lead scoring on a ground ball, but stranded two and missed out on a bigger inning.
• The Chargers responded by scoring three runs on four hits in the home half of the inning. They too though stranded runners, leaving the bases loaded, but now led 4-2.
• It was Georgian Court's turn to score an unearned run in the fifth.
JR Osmond reached on an error and came in to score on
Zinny Kemahu's double to center.
• After striking the first two out in the bottom of the inning, the Lions put three straight on base, the third of which plated a run to give the Chargers their two-run lead back, 5-3.
• DUNY gave themselves some breathing room scoring three more in the sixth on three hits taking their largest lead, 8-3.
• GCU doesn't give away at bats and they continued to show life. The Lions scored twice in the eighth to get back to within three, 8-5.
Frankie Noviello laced a triple to center to bring in
Jack Greenspan and then scored on
Frank Marra's sacrifice fly.
• The Chargers put the first two on in the bottom of the inning and took advantage of another GCU error. Giving the Lions an out with a bunt, GCU threw the ball away and both runners scored.
• A two-out double plated the Chargers third run of the inning and they led 11-6 going to the ninth.
• The Lions didn't go quietly. They loaded the bases with one out in the ninth, but an RBI ground out and a fly out ended the game at 11-6.

Zinny Kemahu had three hits in four at bats with an RBI.

Frankie Noviello tripled as part of a three-hit day and drove in two.

Jack Greenspan had a four hit day with a double and three singles. He also scored a run.

Cooper DeLaBarre started and allowed four runs, three earned on seven hits in 3.2 innings.
For the Chargers
• Fraelyn Rosario scored three times out of the leadoff spot on three hits.
• Byron Arias had a pair of hits, an RBI and a run scored.
• Davin Keddell-Tuckey scored twice on two hits with an RBI.
• Jason Murphy went the first five innings and allowed three runs, two earned on seven hits with six strikeouts.

• Georgian Court knocked 27 hits in the final two games of the series.

Jack Greenspan's four hits are a career high and just the second four-hit game in Lions history.
