First Home Meet Is a Success For Acrobatics and Tumbling

LAKEWOOD, NJ (Mar.5th, 2026) - In the first home meet of the season, the Georgian Court Lions defeated Stevenson 190.275-107.950. 

In the compulsory event to start the meet, Georgian Court scored a 26.30. They scored a 6.25 in the acro portion, followed by a 9.3 in the pyramid, which is the second highest all time, 8.75 in the toss, and a 2.0 in the tumbling. Stevenson received a 20.05 in the compulsory event. They got a 5.25 in acro, 6.5 in pyramid, 6.3 in toss, and 2.0 in tumbling. 


The Lions started the acro portion with a 8.7 in the 5-element. They finished the event, scoring a 24.55, a new GCU record; the Lions got 6.95 in the 6-element and 8.9 in the 7-element, which is also a new program record. Stevenson scored a total of 20.00.


In the open pyramid, the Lions scored a 9.0 this score ties the second of all time. They scored a 9.25 in the inversion, another tie for second, and a 7.45 in the synchronized pyramid for a total of 25.7. Stevenson scored a 8.5 in the open. They scored a 5.9 in the inversion and a 7.8 in the synchronized pyramid for an even total of 22.2


To start the second half, Georgian Court scored 21.35 in the toss event. They totaled a 6.65  in the 450 Salto, 6.6 in the synchronized, and 8.1 in the open toss. The Stevenson Mustangs received a 17.1. 


The final event before the team event was tumbling. GCU started strong with a 5.05 in the duo pass and a 5.5 in the trio pass, while their 5.75 in the quad pass tied the program's second-highest score of all time. In the individual passes, Hannah Koval scored a 7.875 in the aerial pass, Louanne Legregin earned a 7.825 in the 6-element pass, and Allie Pompliano posted a 7.825 in the open pass, which ranks as the second-highest program score of all time. Altogether, the Lions totaled 39.875 in tumbling, while the Mustangs finished the event with a 28.60.


In the team event, the Lions totaled 52.50 points. The Stevenson Mustangs did not compete.
