WATERBURY, Conn. (March 7, 2026) - Georgian Court Men's Lacrosse kicked of their 2026 CACC campaign Saturday afternoon. In a tight battle where neither team led by more than two goals at any point, it was Post who came out on top, 11-10, scoring the game-winning goal in the final minute.
How it Happened
• Georgian Court won the faceoff battle, 14-11.Â
• While shot totals favored the Lions, 40-39, Post put more on target, 28-26.
• The Lions forced more Post turnovers, winning the turnover game, 17-15.
• GCU was also stronger on the ground, winning 44 ground balls to Post's 25.
• Special teams played a factor with Post going 2-2 on the man-advantage while the Lions were 0-1 playing man-up.
1st Quarter
• Georgian Court started out well, scoring three of the game's first four goals.

Harrison Jordan got it going scoring 2:05 into the game.
• After Post tied the game at one, the Lions scored back-to-back with
Drew Barocas and
Tyler Burns each netting one.
• That 3-1 lead the Lions largest of the game. Post scored a man-up goal near the end of the period and the Lions led by one after 15 minutes.
2nd Quarter
• Two and a half minutes into the second, Post tied the game at three and took their first lead, 4-3, three minutes later.

Jeremiah Slaven tied the game back at four, but Post finished the half with back-to-back goals.
• They broke the 4-4 tie with five minutes to play in the half.Â
• In the final minute before the break. GCU turned the ball over, giving Post one final shot. They capitalized with seven seconds left and led 6-4 at intermission.
3rd Quarter
• Starting the half, Georgian Court came out with consecutive goals in the first four minutes.
• Konnor Forlai and
Zach Myers scored for GCU.
• In the final 72 seconds, each team scored. Burns scored his second for the Lions and it was an 8-8 game going to the fourth.
4th Quarter
• Burns gave the Lions the lead back just 54 seconds into the start of the half.
• That lead didn't last with Post scoring a pair to grab the lead back.
• With 6:31 left to play, Post took a 1:00 minute penalty. Georgian Court didn't score man-up, but Jordan tied the game 30 seconds after the penalty expired.
• Still tied with less than two minutes to play, Myers' shot was saved and a GCU turnover gave Post the ball back with 90 seconds.
• Post missed wide, but with 36 seconds remaining, GCU took a 30-second penalty to put Post back with a man-up.
• They took advantage of the power play, scoring the game-winning goal midway through it..
• With 20 seconds left, GCU still had a chance to tie after
Daniel Devitt won the faceoff and the Lions called timeout.
• Both Jordan and
Brodie Seaborn got shots off, but Jordan was blocked and Seaborn's didn't get past the goalie as Post held on, 11-10.

• Aiden Waller got the win making 16 saves.
• Will Brien scored a game-high four goals.
• Ryan Denike passed out five assists.
• Kegan Swain was 8-14 on the draw.
• John Karas caused two turnover and grabbed three groundballs.
News and Notes
• The loss snaps the Lions four-game winning streak over Post. Twice in the Lions history have they won four straight against the Eagles, but never five straight.
• Georgian Court's 10 goals are a season-high.Â
• They also had season-highs in groundballs and caused turnovers.Â

Harrison Jordan reached 75 career points.
•
Christian Smith reached 20 caused turnovers.
• This is the first time GCU has lost a conference opener since 2022, also against Post on the road.
