Lions 10 Runs Not Enough in Loss to Felician

JACKSON, NJ (April 12, 2026) - Georgian Court's offense slugged 10 runs and 11 hits, but it wasn't enough in a 17-10 loss to Felican as the Golden Falcons finished off the weekend sweep.

How it Happened
• There were plenty of runs scored, especially early on as Felician scored 17 runs on 19 hits.
• The Lions put down 10 runs on 11 hits with three extra-base hits.
• The Golden Falcons used the long ball, slugging three home runs, including a grand slam.
• There were literally dozens of base runners. Georgian Court pitches allowed 19 hits, six walks and hit five batters. Felician pitching walked 12 and surrendered 11 hits.
• Felician grabbed a run in the top of the first. They loaded the bases with one out, but Samir Lopez limited the damage to just a run on a sacrifice fly.
• Each team also was in double-figures in runners left on base. Felician stranded 10 and the Lions 11.
• The Golden Falcons batted around in the second. They scored five times, twice on bases loaded walks, plus a two-RBI single from Luis De La Cruz.
• GCU got on the board with a run in the bottom of the second. John Smith kept a ball inside the line in left field for a double putting two on. One pitch later, Jack Osmond drove in his brother JR with a sacrifice fly and cut the lead to 6-1.
• Felician continued to score, adding three more in the third. Haiden Walters had the biggest hit, a two-run home run. They added another on a bases loaded hit-by-pitch for a 9-1 lead.
• A wild pitch brought in a run for the Lions in the home half of the inning, who scored single runs in consecutive innings.
• Another sacrifice fly brought Felician to 10 runs and a 10-2 lead.
• Georgian Court finally put up a crooked number in the fourth. They scored three times in the inning. Arian Lunar had the only run-scoring hit. They also scored on a ground out and a bases loaded walk.
• Felician had another big inning in the fifth. They had the bases loaded again and started the scoring with a single. A big swing then uncleared the bases as a grand slam put the Golden Falcons up 10, 15-5.
• The Lions scored three more in the bottom of the fifth. JR Osmond led off the inning with a solo home run.
• GCU then scored two more on another bases loaded walk and a sacrifice fly.
• After three straight scoreless innings, Felician added two more in the ninth. They connected for a two-run home run to get to their total of 17.
• Georgian Court scored two in the ninth as well. Frank Marra had a pinch hit double to score one and Evangelos Spyrogiannis scored on a ground out.

Lion Stat Leaders
• JR Osmond homered and scored a pair of runs.
• Tyler Charzewski pitched the final 4.2 innings allowing two runs on four hits.
• Evangelos Spyrogiannis had a fun day. He was 3-5 with neither of his hits leaving the infield, two bunts and a high chopper to third. He also scored two runs.
• Arian Lunar was on base four times with a single and three walks.
• Matt DiOttavio entered the game late. He singled twice and walked twice and scored two runs.

For the Golden Falcons
• Haiden Walters was 3-4 with a home run and three RBI.
• Jose David Medrana finished 3-2 with two RBI and a run scored.
• Luis de la Cruz scored three runs and drove in three more on two hits.

• Ernesto Polanco scored five times. He homered and was 3-4 with three RBI and two walks.
• Aidan Denton got the win allowing just one hit over four innings while striking out three.
