Lions Open Playoff Play in Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, NJ (April 27, 2026) - Georgian Court Women's Lacrosse is beginning postseason play at home against Bridgeport.

Previously vs. Bridgeport
• The Lions lead the series 4-1. 
• The Lions have won the last four between the two teams. 
• Earlier this season, the teams had a tough matchup when the game went into overtime in Lakewood, NJ. 
• Bridgeport came out strong, ending the opening quarter with a 4–1 lead. 
Nena Menard had the first four goals for GCU tie it up in the second. 
• After a back-and-forth game, GCU trailed 7–6 heading into the final 15 minutes.
• Nena Menard tied the game with one minute remaining and forced overtime. 
• The first shot on goal in overtime came from a free-position opportunity, where Michaela Scirrotto scored to give the Lions the win over Bridgeport.

Last Time Out 
• The Georgian Court Lions closed out their regular season with a 9–4 loss to the Dominican Chargers. 
• Dominican had the first and only three goals of the first quarter. 
• The Lions only had five shots on goal compared to Dominican's 14.

• They are third for the clearing percentage.

Caitlin Petrellese is fifth for draw controls, and Nena Menard is eighth. 
Natalie Moradian is third in save percentage. 

CACC Postseason Picture
• At 6-3, Georgian Court secured the No. 4 seed in the upcoming CACC Tournament. 
• The top six teams all make the postseason, with the top two receiving byes to the semifinals.
• Dominican and Jefferson finished as the 1 and 2 seeds.
• Wilmington is the No. 3 seed and hosts Chestnut Hill. 
• The opening round winners advance to the semifinals on Thursday, April 30. The winner of Georgian Court and Bridgeport will play at No. 1 Dominican.
