JACKSON, NJ (April 28, 2026) - Georgian Court Baseball finished up the 2026 season Tuesday afternoon. They completed their three-game series with Jefferson. After four scoreless innings, Jefferson scored in three of the final five and took the finale, 9-3.Â
How it Happened
• Jefferson picked up 13 hits, five going for extra-bases.Â
• Georgian Court had nine hits, including a double and a home run.
• The Lions defense didn't make an error in the game. Jefferson made one, on their very first chance in the game, which did not lead to an unearned run.Â
• Some great defense was played in the first four innings to keep the game scoreless.
•
Matt DiOttavio kept runners off the bases with a pair of excellent plays at the hot corner.
• Jefferson broke through in the fifth inning. Three straight run-scoring hits with two outs put the Rams up 3-0.
• The Lions responded two batters into the bottom of the inning.

Evangelos Spyrogiannis followed with a two-run shot to left to get the Lions within one.Â
• The Rams opened things up in the seventh. They scored four runs in the inning on four hits and batted around to push the lead to 7-2.
• GCU got one back as
Arian Lunar brought in a run with a sacrifice fly.Â
• Jefferson added two more in the ninth, scoring on a wild pitch and a solo home run for the 9-3 final.Â
