KANSAS CITY, Mo. (August 13, 2026) - Even though preseason has already begun for Men's and Women's Soccer in the 2026-27 academic year, the United Soccer Coaches squeezed in one final note on the 2025-26 season. The organization unveiled the Team Academic Award winners for 2025-26, which saw Georgian Court recognized for their success in the classroom.
In total, 799 NCAA teams posted a GPA of at least a 3.0 in 2025-26 to earn the Academic Team Award. Georgian Court was one of 187 schools with both men's and women's programs honored.Â
Last year the Lion women posted a 3.56 GPA under Head Coach Jim Moore. GCU was one of six teams in the CACC to be awarded and had the third-highest team GPA.
Georgian Court's men's squad finished the 2025-26 academic year with a 3.31 GPA under Head Coach
Dino Raso. The Lions were one of seven CACC teams to make the grade and had the fourth-highest team GPA in the league.
Believe it or not, both teams are just two weeks away from their 2026 season opener. Both will start on the road. Coach Moore and the Lion women will be in Florida playing at Nova Southeastern Friday, August 27 at 4 pm. Coach Raso will travel north with the men to Massachusetts to talk on Bentley at Noon.
