Orangeburg, NY (Sept. 22, 2026) - The Lions went back on the road for the first time in three weeks and picked up their first conference win of the season.
How it Happened
• The Lions dominated with offensive presence and had 25 shots in the game compared to Dominican's three.
• The Lions held a 5-0 advantage in corner kicks, keeping Dominican without a corner for the match.
• Dominican committed 12 fouls in the match, while GCU finished with half that total at six.
First Half
• Chelsea Lavezzo jump started the Lions' offense, recording each of GCU's first three shots of the match, but was unable to find the back of the net.
• Twenty minutes into the half Ashlee Spicer found Seanna Boan to give the Lions their first goal of the game.
• GCU had ten shots in the first half.
Second Half
• Georgian Court would continue this effort into the second half.
• They scored their second goal when Rori McDonough found the net for GCU.
• The Lions held the advantage for the rest of the game and defeated Dominican 2-0.
