MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (Sept. 23, 2026) - Coming off of a thrilling 1-0 victory over 14th-ranked Post, Georgian Court Men's Soccer stepped back on the field for their final nonconference game of the season Wednesday afternoon.The Marauders were another formidable foe, receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches top-25. They scored three first half goals and were on their way to a 4-0 win as the Lions fall to 4-2-2 on the season.
How it Happened
• Millersville possessed the ball for nearly 60% of the match with much of their time spent in the offensive zone.
• The Marauders led in shots 14-6 and shots on goal 9-3.
• Millersville picked up twice as many corner kicks as GCU, 10-5.
• Neither team picked up a yellow card, but Millersville was whistled for 13 fouls and the Lions seven.
1st Half
• Georgian Court stepped off the bus ready to play, collecting the game's first shot, a hit from
Noah-Maxim Kleiser that was stopped. They also earned two corner kicks in the first 5:30 of the game.
• Things slowed down for both teams after that though with nothing played towards the net for more than 10 minutes.
• Millersville got rolling and didn't let up in the middle of half. They scored three goals in a span of 10:33 to take a commanding lead.
• The first came from Louis Wright. A cross into the box was cleared out by the Lions, but not far enough away. Roy Parkyn headed the clear attempt at the top of the box to Wright who took a touch and finished inside the near post for a 1-0 lead.
• The Marauders kept up the pressure with two shots and two corner kicks in the four minutes following the goal. In the fifth minute, this time it was Parkyn who made it 2-0. He intercepted a pass and dribbled right around two Lion defenders in the box before shooting back left and tucked it just inside the post.
• Six minute later on the counter-attack, the Maruaders had a rare odd-man rush on the GCU defense. Juan Ortiz Escobar passed to Matias Schmidt who went high in the 28th minute for a 3-0 lead.
• Georgian Court didn't get another shot off the rest of the half, but
Lennox Blue Lebelt made two saves in goal to keep it a 3-0 game after 45 minutes.
2nd Half
• It took just 1:42 for the Marauders to score in the second half. A cross into the box from Brian O'Neill set up Ortiz Escobar who's header snuck under the crossbar for the Marauders fourth goal of the game.
• The Lions offense was stuck in slow motion. They didn't get a shot off in the half until the 68th minute.
Felix Kramper's shot was saved.
• There wasn't much pressure built up by the Lions and Millersville was content to run out the rest of the clock on a 4-0 win.
