Chad Gayle enters his fourth season with Georgian Court University men's basketball program as Associate Head Coach/Recruiting Coordinator.

In his first season with the Lions (2019-20), Gayle was able to aide the squad to its most successful season. GCU made its first trip to the CACC tournament after finishing fourth overall in the South Division standings. Coach Gayle played a vital role in recruiting, film breakdown & player development. 

Coach Gayle joined GCU after one season at Fairleigh Dickinson University Florham, where he was able to help the Devils double their win total from the previous year, He contributed with skills training, player development, film breakdown and recruiting.

Gayle has spent the past two summers assisting the New Jersey Panthers, a well known and established AAU program in the Tri-State area. He’s been a pivotal part of their player development and film breakdown. Gayle also uses the off-season to coach at numerous college basketball camps at schools such as Columbia University, American University, Monmouth University, East Stroudsburg University, and Montclair State University. 

Coach Gayle also has also worked with the Washington Wizards and Hoop Group, coaching camps and clinics all over the east coast.

Prior to entering the collegiate coaching ranks, Gayle served as an assistant varsity coach at Phoebus High School (Hampton, Va.) with Coach James Daniels.

Gayle received his bachelor's degree in sports management from Hampton University in 2016 and is a member of the Beta Chi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
