Chris Rash
Assistant Coach | 2nd Season
Chris Rash enters his second season as Throws Coach at Georgian Court University in 2025-26.
Rash has seen his throws program experience great success within the CACC. The Lion men had the 2024 outdoor conference champion in all four throwing events while the women won conference crowns in two. Rash also helped freshmen Malicah Etienne and Chiamaka Wokocha to CACC Field Rookie of the Year awards following the 2024 outdoor season.
In his second season, Rash coached three NCAA Qualifiers in Robbie Babson, Malicah Etienne and Mark Linton. The Lions also had five throwers earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors. In four throwing events at the CACC Outdoor Track and Field Championship meet, the Lion men had the event winner in three and totaled 66 points in the meet. The women meanwhile won two events and totaled 47 points.
Before joining the staff at Georgian Court, Rash coached track and field at Manchester Township High School. He served as the Throws Coach for six seasons before becoming the Head Coach for two seasons, while still overseeing the throws. During his time with Manchester Township, Rash coached multiple Ocean County and Shore Conference Champions, school record holders, Meet of Champions qualifiers and medal winners. In 2021, during his first year as Head Coach, Manchester made school history by winning its first ever Ocean County team title and Shore Conference team title. To conclude that season, Rash was named New Jersey’s Coach of the Year by NJ.Com.
Rash graduated with a Secondary Education and English degree from King’s College in Pennsylvania. While at King’s, he was a team captain and Scholar All-American wrestler. Rash also coached wrestling at Jackson Memorial High School from 2011-2021 and has coached Jackson’s football team for the past 12 years as well. He has helped to generate numerous State Championship teams, All-County, All-Shore, and All-State athletes, and was the position coach for New Jersey’s 2019 Defensive Player of the Year.
Originally from Freehold, NJ, Chris and his wife, Laura, currently reside in Neptune, NJ with their son and daughter.
