West Chester, PA- Since beginning the 2009-10 campaign a promising 1-0, the Georgian Court University basketball squad has now lost five straight (1-5) as the Lions fell Wednesday evening to Cheyney University, 67-57, in a contest played at Bayard Rustin High School in West Chester, PA. 

Cheyney improves to 2-2 on the year with the victory.

Three Lions reached double-digits in the contest, which included a team-high 12 points from sophomore Shaleah Alston. Freshman Shawna Wert drained 11 points while junior Lauren Staats tallied 10 of her own.

GCU looks to get off the schneid when they take the floor again on Thursday, December 10th as they host Chestnut Hill College in the CACC opener for Georgian Court. Game time is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
