Rylan Gentil earned his third shutout of the season Monday vs. Shippensburg.
Lakewood, N.J.- In a highly physical affair, the Georgian Court University men's soccer squad improved to 4-1 on the year after a hard-fought 1-0 triumph over visiting Shippensburg University Monday afternoon on Investors Savings Bank Field.

After a scoreless opening half of play, the Lions broke the stalemate at 67:58 when Ben Vergara headed in a rebound originating from a Ricardo Vascones corner kick. The goal marked Vergara's third of the season, ranking him second on the roster behind Michael Clarke's four.

Shippensburg (13) and Georgian Court (10) combined for 23 total fouls with each team being penalized with three yellow cards apiece. The visitors dominated in the shot column (13-6) and in corner kicks (12-4), but to no avail.

Rylan Gentil collected eight saves to improve to 4-1 in goal for the Lions. Clay Sale (Sr.-Fort Collins, Col.) tallied two saves in net for Shippensburg (2-1-1).
