Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University men's soccer squad closed out the home portion of its regular-season schedule Thursday afternoon vs. first-place Wilmington University, preceded by a special pregame ceremony honoring the Lions' three seniors:
Edward Glover,
Kevin Isvanditsch,and
Jorge Rivera.
The celebration did not last long for GCU, unfortunately, as the visiting Wildcats (13-4, 10-2 CACC) pounced for four tallies in the first half, including three in the first 13:59 of play. WU added three more in the second stanza to coast to the 7-0 win, clinching the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference regular-season crown in the process.
Georgian Court (7-7-2, 4-5-2 CACC) now faces a "must win" situation to keep its postseason dream alive as the Lions travel to Caldwell University (4-12-1, 3-7-1 CACC) this Saturday. Start time is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
