Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University men's soccer squad concluded the home portion of its regular-season calendar in stellar fashion Tuesday afternoon as the Lions secured its fourth straight shutout, a 2-0 blanking of visiting Holy Family University.

The day also marked Senior Day for the gentlemen as 21 players, including 15 from the inaugural campaign of 2013, were honored in a special pregame ceremony. 

The victory marks GCU's program-record 10th of the year (10-5-1, 7-3-1 CACC) and improves the Lions' ledger to 7-0-1 on its home pitch. The Tigers finish 2016 at 4-11-3 (2-7-3 CACC).

Daniel Vicente got Georgian Court on the board in the 29th minute (28:36) when the sophomore connected on a jumping header, courtesy of a Ricardo Vascones cross, for his second tally of the season.  Michael Clarke, one of the Lions' pregame honorees, added to his team career goal record as the senior settled a Craig Smith dish and blasted it home for his seventh of the year at 75:02.

Georgian Court outshot its guest by a margin of 15-3.

Sebastian Mikuska remains sizzling hot in the GCU net as the senior keeper collected his fourth straight shutout effort, grabbing three saves in the 90-minute outing.

The Lions now travel to take on first-place Concordia College this Friday at 1pm before seting its sights on the program's first-ever appearance in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Tournament, which commences on Tuesday, November 1 at 2pm.
