Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University men's soccer squad, in its first-ever meeting with Lock Haven University, needed just one goal to hold off the visiting Bald Eagles as the Lions secured their fifth victory of the season Tuesday evening in non-conference action.

GCU now owns a record of 5-3 while Lock Haven slips to .500 at 4-4-1.

Georgian Court outshot its guest by a healthy 16-7 margin. Javel Dawkins was the owner of the lone effort to enter the net (41:44) as the freshman clubbed in an initial save by Lock Haven goalkeeper Troy Teresak (Jr.-Pompton Plains, N.J.) after an Andres Adum scoring attempt. The tally marked the first goal of Dawkins' young collegiate career.

For the second straight game, Aleksander Milosevic kept his opponent out of the scoring column as the senior netminder registered two saves in the winning effort.

The Lions next return to action Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. when they welcome West Chester University to campus.
