Lincoln University, Pa. - The Georgian Court University women's volleyball squad took on Lincoln University Thursday evening in non-conference action, defeating the host-Lions 25-11, 25-18, 25-19 to escape with the 3-0 non-conference victory.
The win gives GCU its first triumph vs. an out-of-conference foe this season as the Lions improve to 9-14 on the year. Lincoln drops to 4-13 with the setback.
Coming off a 25-kill, 18-dig performance Tuesday vs. Wilmington University,
Peggy Rosario followed that effort with a team-high 11 kills Thursday night.
Leah Wieland floored eight kills to go along with a pair of blocks.
Ashley Pierson topped the club with 19 assists while also adding eight digs.
Jackie Sweeney contributed 13 helpers while teammate
Gaby Merced topped the roster with her 11 digs.
Georgian Court returns to conference competition Saturday afternoon with a 4:30 p.m. road match at Caldwell University (15-5, 10-2 CACC).
