Caldwell, N.J. - The Georgian Court University women's volleyball squad chartered up to Caldwell University late Saturday afternoon for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) inter-divisional battle. The host-Cougars made quick work of the Lions, sending GCU away on the wrong side of a 3-0 score (15-25, 18-25, 19-25).
Caldwell, currently the bearers of first place in the Northern Division, improved to 16-5 on the year (11-2 CACC). Georgian Court drops to 9-15 (8-5 CACC) following the loss.
Amy Bruno paced the Lions with her seven kills and three blocks while
Ashley Pierson distributed 13 assists.
Gaby Merced settled under a team-best 10 digs.
Peggy Rosario added seven digs, five kills and a team-high two service aces.
The Lions will next host West Chester University Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. in non-conference action.
