Lakewood, N.J.- The Georgian Court University volleyball squad collected its second victory in less than 24 hours (and third straight overall) as the Lions shut out visiting Dominican College, 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-17), Saturday afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action.
GCU (6-12, 6-3 CACC), a day after blanking University of the Sciences on the road, has now kept its opponent scoreless in three consecutive outings. The Lady Chargers still seek their first win of the campaign as Dominican dips to 0-18 (0-9 CACC) overall.
Aubrey Binkley led the way for the Lions as the freshman deposited a match-best 10 kills.
Ashley Pierson fell one dig short of her third double-double of the season with 16 assists and nine digs.
Gaby Merced paced GCU with a team-high 13 digs and three service aces.
Georgian Court returns to action Wednesday evening with a 7:00 p.m. CACC road match at Chestnut Hill College.
