Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The Georgian Court University women's volleyball squad visited Molloy College Saturday afternoon as GCU took on Bentley University and the host-Lions in a NCAA Division II non-conference tri-match.
The Lions continue to seek their first win of the year as GCU dropped to 0-10 with a 3-0 setback to Bentley (20-25, 23-25, 21-25) and a 3-1 loss vs. Molloy (10-25, 20-25, 25-18, 11-25).Â
Peggy Rosario topped Georgian Court with 21 total kills on the day, followed by
Amy Bruno with 15. Rosario added 11 digs (10 kills) in her outing vs. Bentley to secure her team-leading third double-double of the season.
Ashley Pierson tallied 20+ assists in both matches with 21 vs. Bentley and 20 in the nightcap vs. Molloy.
Gaby Merced registered a team-high 29 digs over the two matches with a match-best 17 vs. Bentley.
Georgian Court will host its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest Tuesday evening as the reigning conference champion, Jefferson University, comes to town at 6pm.
