Lakewood, N.J. - In the presence of a Homecoming crowd of at least 350, the Georgian Court University women's soccer squad secured its fourth shutout of the season (and third over its last four games) as the Lions held off visiting Bloomfield College Saturday afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action.
With the win, the Lions (7-3-2, 6-0 CACC) are unbeaten in six straight contests. The Bears fall to 3-6 (1-5 CACC) in the conference blanking.

Erin Wimmer cross out of the air to net her game-winning ninth tally of the season. The sizzling sophomore has tallied a phenomenal five goals over three games this week for the Lions.
GCU lambasted Bloomfield with a 36-4 shot differential, including an 11-2 advantage regarding shots-on-goal.
Natalie Axelsson improves to 6-2-1 in net for the Lions after securing the shutout with two saves on the day.Â
Jessica Larson (Jr.-Delran, N.J.) shined between the pipes for the Bears with nine saves of her own.
The Lions return to the pitch Wednesday afternoon with another CACCÂ showdown, this time vs. the always aggressive Wildcats of Wilmington University. Start time is slated for 3:30 p.m.
