Lakewood, N.J. - The Georgian Court University women's volleyball squad welcomed Post University to campus Saturday morning for its annual Homecoming Day contest, a match won by the Eagles, 3-1.

Less than 24 hours after falling to Le Moyne College in five sets at home in Waterbury, Conn., the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference foe journeyed to GCU and defeated the home team by the scores of 25-22, 25-17, 23-25, and 25-12.

The victory improves Post's ledger to 7-9 (5-1 CACC) while the defeat snaps Georgian Court's three-game winning streak and drops their record to 3-12 (3-2 CACC). 

Sarah Seger (Jr.-Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) topped all players with her 18 kills while adding 11 digs for the double-double effort. Madison Hunziker (Jr.-Sacramento, Calif.) followed with 15 kills. Teammate Brianna Root (Jr.-Bristol, Conn.) contributed a match-best 41 assists in the triumph. 

Peggy Rosario (13 kills, 13 digs) and Jackie Sweeney (17 assists, 11 digs) experienced double-doubles in the GCU setback. Ashley Pierson dished a team-high 18 helpers. Amy Bruno drilled 11 kills while Aubrey Binkley collected 10 digs to complement her seven kills.

Georgian Court returns to the floor on Tuesday with a 7pm road match at Goldey-Beacom College.
