Wilmington, Del. - Georgian Court University, trailing 2-0 at intermission, roared all the way back Tuesday afternoon as the Lions secured a thrilling 3-2, 2 OT victory at Goldey-Beacom College to take sole possession of first place in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's soccer standings.

Both squads entered the contest with an unblemished 6-0 conference record. The Lions stay perfect in CACC action after the triumph (8-3 overall) while the Lightning slide to 9-3 (6-1 CACC) on the year. 

Krystal Hund, the reigning CACC Rookie fo the Week, continues to perform like a seasoned veteran as the freshman phenom netted the game-winner in the 104th-minute (103:04), courtesy of Heather Arbachesky's seventh assist of the year.  For Hund, the tally marks her 12th of the season, which leads the conference and ties for second in the nation.

Goldey-Beacom broke a scoreless stalemate at the 33-minute mark when Melayna Immediato (Fr.-Hockessin, Del.) connected on a feed from CACC Co-Player of the Week, Alanna Speaks (So.-Dover, Del.), for her seventh goal of the year.

The duo traded places just 5:22 later (38:22) when Immediato set the stage for Speaks' ninth of the season, a pass from the left side resulting in a tap-in.

GCU's offense finally came to life at 55:02 of the second stanza as Arbachesky rattled home a Hund helper for her ninth of the year. The equalizer came in the 71st-minute when Kaitlin Lister launched her fourth of the season from 25 yards out to even the affair at 2-2.

The Lions scorched the Lightning with a 21-6 shot advantage (11-4 SOG) and an astounding 15-1 corner kick surplus.

Natalie Axelsson battled to the complete-game victory in net for Georgian Court, registering two saves overall. Marta Lopez (Sr.-Valencia, Spain) suffered the setback, collecting eight saves in the effort.

Georgian Court now prepares for Saturday afternoon when they travel to Felician University for a 5:30 p.m. CACC match.
