Lakewood, N.J.- On the night the Lions honored the collegiate careers of seniors
Peggy Rosario and
Jessica Sipili, Georgian Court University closed out its regular-season home slate with a solid 3-0 blanking of the University of the Sciences Wednesday evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference volleyball action.
GCU, now winners of five straight, improves to 20-8 (15-3 CACC) after dismissing the Devils by scores of 25-20, 25-18, and 25-15. USciences concludes the evening with a mark of 8-18 (5-13 CACC).
Rosario led the way with nine kills in the victory, followed by
Amy Bruno,
Shana Rayside and
Grace Fenn with seven apiece.
Ashley Pierson shared the wealth by dishing 22 assists for the Lions.
Emily McCurley corralled 13 digs.
Aubrey Binkley registered 10 of her own in the triumph.
Georgian Court returns to action Thursday night with a non-conference visit to Mercy College. Start time is set for 6:00 p.m.
