Orangeburg, N.Y.- Georgian Court University owns its first six-game winning streak in four years as the Lions made quick work of Dominican College, 3-0, Friday night in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's volleyball action.
The victory moves GCU to 14-5 (10-1 CACC) on the year, equaling the team's triumph total from a season ago. The Chargers continue to struggle with a 2-17 ledger (2-9 CACC).
For the second straight outing,
Shana Rayside topped the Lions in kills, this time with 12 putdowns.
Jaime Sweeney and
Trilby Kite shared the setting duties with 19 and 10 assists. respectively.
Gaby Merced led the way with 11 digs while
Aubrey Binkley contributed six digs and five service aces.
The Lions earn a much-needed weekend off before returning to action Tuesday night when they welcome Bloomfield College to the Wellness Center. Start time is set for 6:30 p.m.
