Millersville, Pa. - Georgian Court University continues to seek its first triumph of 2018-19 as the Lions, playing their third straight road game to start the season, suffered a 78-51 setback at Millersville University Wednesday in NCAA Division II men's basketball action.
Marcus Adkison (Sr.-Annandale, Va.) highlighted the Millersville box score with a double-double performance consisting of 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Caden Najdawi (So.-Chesterfield, Va.) and
James Sullivan (So.-Grottoes, Va.) also netted 14 apiece while
Justin Nwosu (Fr.-Bowie Md.) and
Jamal Washington (So.-Dumfries, Va.) contributed 11 points each for the 2-1 Marauders.
For the Lions,
Will Osborne enjoyed his best game sporting the royal and gold as the junior transfer from Seattle, Washington paced the GCU offense with his 14 points, which consisted of four three-pointers on the night.
Caleb Bowser followed with 13 points and a team-high six assists.
Matt Ringel fell just one point short (9 points,13 rebounds) of his second double-double of the young year.
GCU (0-3) suits up for its fourth-straight contest away from campus this Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. visit to Bloomsburg University on the docket.
