Matt Ringel, in his first game sporting the royal and gold of Georgian Court University, authored a double-double for the Lions, which fell to Le Moyne College, 81-56, Friday in the College of Saint Rose Tip-Off Tournament.
Ringel, a junior transfer from Brookdale Community College (Lincroft, N.J.), registered team-highs with his 14 points and 10 boards over 29 minutes of action. Freshman
Justin Figueroa also achieved double-digits in the scoring column with 10 points while
Will Osborn and
Kim Speller poured in eight apiece for the Lions (0-1).

Malik Garner (R-Jr.-Midland, Mich.) topped all players with 20 points on the night, which included 4-of-8 shooting from the three-point line.
Tyree Chambers (Gr.-Bayreuth, Germany) followed with 13 points, while
C.J. Asuncion-Byrd (Sr.-Greenwich, Conn.) contributed 11 points over 22 minutes for the Dolphins (1-0).
The Lions (0-1) return to action Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. vs. the College of Saint Rose, marking the season-opener for the Golden Knights.
