Bronxville, N.Y.- One day after dismissing Wilmington University in impressive fashion, 3-1, Georgian Court University quickly returned to action Saturday afternoon with a swift shutout of host-Concordia College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) volleyball action.
The Lions, now a perfect 4-0 in conference play (8-4 overall). strolled to wins 25-12, 25-15 and 26-24 over the winless Clippers (0-5, 0-4 CACC).
Aubrey Binkley topped the GCU offense with her nine kills, followed by
Peggy Rosario and
Amy Bruno with eight apiece.
Ashley Pierson and
Jaime Sweeney dished a majority of the helpers in the win with 18 and 13, respectively.
Emily McCurley paced the victors with nine digs and four service aces while Bruno and
Shana Rayside patrolled the net with four blocks each.
Georgian Court, now tied with Jefferson atop the CACCÂ South Division standings, will next take on Holy Family University Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. in the Wellness Center Arena.
