Waterbury, Conn. - Georgian Court University made Saturday's visit to Post University a brief one as the Lions cruised to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-20) win over the host-Eagles in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's volleyball action.
The Lions, who upset Post in a five-set thriller last November in the 2017 CACCÂ Championship Tournament quarterfinals, needed far less time on this day as GCU improves to 9-5 overall (5-1 CACC). The Eagles slip to 6-10 (3-2 CACC).
Peggy Rosario crunched a match-best 11 kills in the victory, while also contributing five digs and four service aces.
Aubrey Binkley provided a balanced attack with her 10 digs, four aces and three blocks.
Jaime Sweeney and
Ashley Pierson each eclipsed double-digits with 16 and 13 assists, respectively.
Emily McCurley offered nine digs and four helpers in the win.
GCU returns home for a highly-anticipated match vs. divisional-rival, Jefferson, Tuesday evening in the Wellness Center Arena. Start time is set for 6:30 p.m.
