Bronxville, N.Y.- Three different Lions connected on seven goals as Georgian Court University strutted to a 7-0 victory over host-Concordia College Saturday afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's soccer action.
The Lions secure their second straight win to improve to 2-2 overall (1-0 CACC) while the Clippers slip to 0-2 (0-1 CACC) on the year.
Heather Arbachesky registered the first two goals of the eventual rout as the senior connected on first-half tallies at 15:23 and 30:07.
Nora Stapleton took responsibility for the Lions' next two scoring efforts when the sophomore found the back of the net for the first time in her collegiate career at 44:56 and 51:51.
The final three goals came off the boot of freshman
Krystal Hund when the sensation put in tallies at 54:55, 67:08 and 68:30 to secure the hat trick. GCU dominated the shots column, 36-7 (23-3 shots on goal).
Hund also contributed an assist in the win to close the week with four goals and a pair of helpers (two games). Arbachesky, with today's performance that also included two assists, ends the week with three goals and three aiders.
Anetha Jenkins, in her first collegiate start, collected a complete-game shutout in the GCU net, which included three saves on the day.
GCU returns to action on Monday afternoon with a trip to nationally-ranked LIU Post as the Lions take on the #21 Pioneers at 4:00 p.m.
