Late Run by Holy Family Too Much To Overcome as Lions Fall, 82-74

Lakewood, N.J. - Tied at 70-all with 4:34 remaining in regulation, Holy Family University set off on a 12-4 run to escape Georgian Court University with an 82-74 victory Tuesday evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's basketball action.

Despite the setback, the host-Lions (2-16, 1-8 CACC) received double-double performances from Caleb Bowser (30 points, 10 rebounds) and Kim Speller (13 points, 10 rebounds). For Bowser, it was the junior's second double-double of the year and third 30-point effort in his last five outings. Speller has now produced a double-double in back-to-back games.

Justin Figueroa dished seven assists and netted seven points over 32 minutes. Bryce Council, who broke the team single-season assist record (81, 2013-14) over the weekend, finished Tuesday's contest with four more aiders.

Four players finished the night with double-digit scoring marks for Holy Family (9-6, 5-3 CACC), led by Dymir Montague (Fr.-Philadelphia, Pa.) and his 26 points. Branden Aughburns (Jr.-Queens, N.Y.) contributed his own double-double, consisting of 13 points and 12 boards.

The Lions return to the hardwood Saturday afternoon with a 3:00 p.m. home game vs. Bloomfield College.
