Sean Barksdale produced his first double-double of the season Saturday afternoon as the junior registered team-bests of 20 points and 11 rebounds in 25 minutes off the Georgian Court University bench in Saturday's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) home game vs. Bloomfield College.
The Lakewood, N.J. native went 7-for-14 from the field, including four three-pointers, in the Lions' 90-73 setback to the Bears (10-9, 8-2 CACC).
Caleb Bowser followed with 17 points of his own as the junior has posted double-digits in all but one of his 16 outings this season.
Matt Ringel ground out a solid stat sheet consisting of 13 points, six boards and a game-high five blocks in the effort.
As for the Bears,
Keith Washington (Sr.-Philadelphia, Pa.) topped all scorers with his 28 points, which included seven successful shots from beyond the three-point arc.
Rich Chapman (So.-Newark, N.J.) and
Kavione Green (Sr.-Amityville, N.Y.) contributed 23 and 19 points, respectively, in the Bloomfield win.
Georgian Court (2-17, 1-9 CACC) now prepares for a trip to the University of the Sciences this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The Lions lost to the Devils in their last meeting, an 84-78 overtime heartbreaker back on Jan. 8 in the Wellness Center.
