Caleb Bowser collected his team-leading third double-double, and ninth outing with 20 or more points, while
Matt Ringel poured in 12 points and grabbed eight boards Wednesday night as Georgian Court University visited the University of the Sciences for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) divisional showdown.
Bowser, who ranks second in the conference with an average of 20.4 points-per-game, deposited 22 points and secured 10 rebounds in the 78-68 setback to the Devils (7-13, 4-7 CACC). The junior, who is now just 94 points short of becoming the fourth player in program history to crack 1,000 for his career, shot 6-of-14 from the floor and nailed 8-of-9 efforts from the charity stripe.
Paddy Casey (So.-Scranton, Pa.) paced the Devils with his team-best 21 points.
Sean Simon (Fr.-Philadelphia, Pa.) and
Tanner Kerr (Sr.-Avalon, N.J.) followed with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
The Lions 2-18, 1-10 CACC) return to action on Tuesday with an 8:00 p.m. home game vs. Chestnut Hill College. GCU dropped the Griffins on the road, 80-68, back on December 19 in what has been the squad's only CACC triumph of the season thus far.
