Wilmington, Del. - Georgian Court University, making its third visit to the state of Delaware in less than a month since the start of the season, made the most of its trip to the First State as the Lions defeated Goldey-Beacom College, 3-1, improving to 4-1 vs. Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) competition.
GCU, now 11-4 on the year, took the first set (25-22) before the Lightning countered with a set-two triumph (25-18). The Lions took over from there by securing the next two frames (26-24, 25-23) to complete the road win.
Kinsy Haschke, who recently appeared on the CACC Honor Roll for the third straight week, authored a double-double performance consisting of 15 kills and 11 digs.
Amy Bruno and
Kayla Wilson followed with nine kills apiece.
Ashley Pierson and
Jaime Sweeney shared the wealth with 23 and 15 assists, respectively.

The Lions now return home where they prepare to host Nyack College (12:00 p.m.) and The College of Saint Rose (2:00 p.m.) this Saturday.
