Lakewood, N.J. - Georgian Court University volleyball remains undefeated at home as the Lions registered straight-set triumphs over Nyack College and The College of Saint Rose in Saturday action.
The Lions opened the afternoon with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest victory vs. the Warriors (25021, 25-19, 25-12) to improve to 5-1 in conference play.Â
Kinsy Haschke floored a match-best 11 kills in the win while
Jaime Sweeney topped all players with her 21 assists.
Shana Rayside prowled the net with five rejections.
Emily McCurley paced the team with her 21 digs.
In the nightcap, GCU (13-4) tarnished the Golden Knights of Saint Rose by scores of 25-13, 25-22 and 26-24.Â
Haschke tallied a stellar double-double performance consisting of 20 kills and 11 digs. Rayside blasted 11 kills, followed by
Amy Bruno with her 10. The Lions, as a team, collected a hitting percentage of .336.
Sweeney and
Ashley Pierson dished 22 and 20 helpers, respectively, while McCurley led the way with 15 digs.
Georgian Court, now 6-0 at home, experiences a quick turnaround as the Lions travel to Pace University for a 1:00 p.m. match on Sunday.
