Lakewood, N.J. - A  goal in the 30th minute (29:05) held strong for Goldey-Beacom College as the visiting Lightning struck down Georgian Court University, 1-0, Tuesday afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's soccer action.

Sergi Varona (Jr.-Barcelona, Spain) one-timed a perfect Ethan Maguire (Jr.-Sydney, Australia) through-ball to account for the lone tally. Both squads collected 13 shots apiece while the host-Lions owned three more shots-on-frame (6-3) than their guest.

Cole Lewis (Jr.-Middletown, Del.) collected the win for the Lightning, registering six saves in the effort. Jamie Hickey pocketed two saves in the complete-game performance for GCU.

The Lions (3-7, 2-3 CACC) now prepare to take to the road this Saturday with a visit to Nyack College at 2:30 p.m.
