Bloomfield, N.J. - Georgian Court University glided to its ninth-consecutive victory Saturday afternoon as the Lions made quick work of host-Bloomfield College (25-20, 25-16, 25-10) in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) volleyball action.
The win improves GCU to 23-5 (12-2 CACC) on the year marking the Lions' highest single-season victory mark since the program's championship season of 2009 when they finished at 27-10 overall.
Shana Rayside enjoyed a monster match as the senior smoked 11 kills in 15 attempts, resulting in a sensational .750 hitting percentage.
Kinsy Haschke followed with eight smashes of her own.
Ashley Pierson authored a double-double in the win with her 15 assists and 12 digs.
Jaime Sweeney paced the squad with her 20 helpers.
Emily McCurley controlled 11 digs for the royal and blue.
The Lions return home Tuesday evening for a huge divisional match as second-place Holy Family University pays a visit to the Wellness Center (6:00 p.m.). GCU defeated the Tigers in Philadelphia, 3-0, back on September 18 in the teams' last meeting.
